WHAT WE'RE UP TO OVER THE FESTIVE PERIOD
Family is at the heart of everything we do, especially at Christmas. It is for this reason that we have chosen not to open our bar or restaurant on Christmas Day, to give our hard working staff the opportunity to spend the day with their families. The hotel will remain open throughout the Christmas period however there will not be any hotel breakfast on Christmas morning.
On Christmas Eve, our bar and restaurant will be open as normal, then we’ll be open again on Boxing Day for our famous Boxing Day carvery from 12-7pm. Normal opening hours will resume from 27th December. Don’t forget, that throughout December there will be festive drinks and dining on offer too!

Available from 1st – 24rd December as a festive alternative to our normal menu, our festive menu gives you a chance to celebrate Christmas early in a festive pub atmosphere. Enjoy two-courses for £22.50 or three-courses for £26.95. Advance booking is essential.

Why not have your work or club Christmas party at the Griffin this year? Our main (shared) Griffin party night on 14th December includes a festive three course meal followed by a disco, for £32.50 per attendee. It’s the last night of the year, time to celebrate the the year gone by and everything that we hope 2025 will bring. Why not join us at the Griffin for your New Year celebration, enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal in our restaurant before throwing some shapes on the dance floor at our New Year’s Eve party! This is a free non-ticketed event but table bookings are highly recommended.

Our festive dining menu is available throughout December as a main meal (advance booking is highly recommended) or for your work or club Christmas party night. Two courses can be enjoyed for just £20.95 or three-courses for £25.95. Pre-orders will be required for groups larger than 20.
